WELCOME TO CTDIAC

The 12th edition of CTDIAC (Concurso de Teses e Dissertações em Inteligência Artificial e Computacional) is a satellite event of the Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems (BRACIS), which will be held in Rio Grande, RS, Brazil, from October 20 to 23, 2020. Due to the COVID pandemic and the sanitary and economical related issues, CTDIAC 2020 will be a virtual (online) conference.

The main goals of CTDIAC are to disseminate and award the best MSc dissertations and PhD theses (MSc and PhDs concluded in Brazilian universities from June 2018 to May 2020) in Artificial and Computational Intelligence areas. Therefore CTDIAC-2020 welcomes concluded research work in all Artificial Intelligence and Computational Intelligence topics, which include but are not limited to:

  • AI and the Web (AIW)
  • Humans and AI (HAI)
  • Applications (APP)
  • Human-Computation and Crowd Sourcing (HCC)
  • Cognitive Modeling (CM)
  • Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (KRR)
  • Cognitive Systems (CS)
  • Machine Learning (ML)
  • Computational Sustainability (CSUS)
  • Multiagent Systems (MAS)
  • Constraint Satisfaction and Optimization (CSO)
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Game Playing and Interactive Entertainment (GPIE)
  • Planning, Routing, and Scheduling (PRS)
  • Game Theory and Economic Paradigms (GTEP)
  • Reasoning under Uncertainty (RU)
  • Heuristic Search and Optimization (HSO)
  • Robotics (ROB)
  • Human-AI Collaboration (HAC)
  • Vision (VIS)

Authors should use the style file of the IEEE Computer Society Press (conference template). Formatting instructions, as well as templates for Word and /LaTeX/, can be found in https://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

CTDIAC expects papers with concluded work, including evaluation and results. The paper should include the name of the advisor (and co-advisors) as co-authors and the following information in the first page after the abstract:

    • Student level (MSc or PhD)
    • Date of conclusion
    • Examining board members
    • Pointer to an on-line version of the full dissertation or thesis (that can be written in English or in Portuguese)

    Reviewing Process

CTDIAC will have two phases: in the first phase, which will be eliminatory, a set of submissions will be selected based on the quality of the paper; in the second phase, the selected submissions will be presented and judged during the Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems (BRACIS 2020). Notice that in the first phase, the main object of judgment is the paper; while in the second one, the main object of judgment is the full thesis or dissertation. The author of each accepted paper must attend the conference to present the work.

All accepted papers will likely be published electronically through the SBC Open Lib - SOL.
